These occupational competence qualifications will provide learners with the knowledge and skills to work
within the Water Treatment Industry as a water treatment monitor, systems tester or in other related roles.
Industrial water treatment companies supply specialist chemicals and associated in-field analytical services for the treatment of a variety of water systems including process water, heating and cooling, swimming pools, effluent, potable supplies etc, across a broad range of industrial, commercial, military, power generation and institutional premises.
The qualifications contain Mandatory Units covering taking and analysing samples from water systems, comparing test results and using appropriate record keeping systems.
The qualifications contain a number of pathways enabling learners to take appropriate units to focus on areas such as water treatment equipment, water treatment technology, water treatment systems or legionella risk assessment surveying.
Who Can Take these Qualifications?
The Level 2 qualifications are intended for learners who are new entrants to the Water Treatment Industry and wish to develop their knowledge and skills to enable safe progression into the workplace/employment.
The Level 2 and 3 qualifications will also benefit learners who are already in employment within the Water Treatment Industry environment but require additional knowledge and skills as part of an existing job role or to enable career progression.
There are no prerequisites to achieve these qualifications but they must be achieved in the workplace.
