Water Treatment and Legionella Control/Management
These qualifications will provide learners with the knowledge to work within the Water Treatment Industry as a water treatment monitor, systems tester or in other related roles.
Industrial water treatment companies supply specialist chemicals and associated in-field analytical services for the treatment of a variety of water systems including process water, heating and cooling, swimming pools, effluent, potable supplies etc, across a broad range of industrial, commercial, military, power generation and institutional premises.
These qualifications are designed for individuals who are involved in water treatment, water testing and legionella risk control or management. They cover knowledge of fundamental and advanced water chemistry and associated problems; methods of water treatment and testing; and treatment of various water systems.
Who Can Take these Qualifications?
The Level 2 qualifications are intended for learners who are new entrants to the Water Treatment Industry and wish to develop their knowledge and skills to enable safe progression into the workplace/employment.
The Level 2 and 3 qualifications will also benefit learners who are already in employment within the Water Treatment Industry environment but require additional knowledge and skills as part of an existing job role or to enable career progression.
There are no prerequisites to achieve these qualifications. They are assessed by a combination of a workbook and an external examination.
