Achieving Laboratory Qualifications at United Utilities
Congratulations to PAA\VQ-SET learners Lydia Doran and Chloe Kelly who have recently achieved their Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (LATA) Level 3 qualifications through Approved Centre United Utilities.
United Utilities in Warrington has been a PAA\VQ-SET Approved Centre for almost 20 years offering Laboratory qualifications at Levels 2 and 3 to their Science Apprentices. In that time over 60 learners have successfully achieved their Laboratory qualifications.
Dawn Longden, Senior Scientist and Centre Coordinator, commented on their achievement, “United Utilities Apprentices have accomplished some great work within their NVQ units that has significantly aided their understanding of analysis and other work based activities, which they perform on a daily basis within the various Laboratories. I have been especially impressed with the work they have completed for the investigatory and Technical units. LAT3-004, 005 and 009. These units have been really important as part of their training and for improving their knowledge base of in depth studies and problem solving. The units were also fundamental in improving their communication skills as they related their findings to colleagues of all grades.
Thank you to PAA\VQ-SET for playing an important part of our Apprentices development.”
