Performing Processing Operations within a Replicated Environment
Overview
These occupational competence qualifications will provide learners with the knowledge and skills to work as a chemical plant process operator, production worker, process operative or in technical support in a range of Processing Industries.
Work as a process operative would be likely to involve manufacturing goods and parts in industries like pharmaceuticals, food and drink, construction and engineering. It would also involve controlling and monitoring the machinery used to make products.
Qualification Content
The qualifications contain Mandatory Units covering generic knowledge and skills including Handover, dealing with Hazards and Emergencies, and working in a team.
Learners may then choose from a number of pathways and Optional Units covering a wide range of processing activities, such as processing operations, solving process problems, assessing risk, maintaining product quality and identifying improvements.
Who Can Take this Qualification?
These qualifications are intended for learners who are already in employment and are likely to be experienced operators but require additional knowledge and skills as part of an existing job role or to enable career progression.
There are no prerequisites to achieve these qualifications but they must be achieved in the workplace.
