Bulk Liquid Operations
Overview
This occupational competence qualification will provide learners with the knowledge and skills to work in the storage, handling and distribution of various bulk liquid products for a range of industries.
The qualification is primarily used in the chemical and oil industries where bulk liquid products would be likely to include liquid chemicals, gasses, petroleum and petrochemical products.
Qualification Content
The qualification contains Mandatory Units covering generic knowledge and skills including working safely and working in a team, plus a number of other competencies including preparing pipelines and hoses, transferring bulk liquid product, and monitoring and maintaining equipment. Additional Units may be taken but are not required for the qualification.
Who Can Take this Qualification?
This qualification is intended for learners who are already in employment and are likely to be experienced operators but require additional knowledge and skills as part of an existing job role or to enable career progression.
There are no prerequisites to achieve this qualification but it must be achieved in the workplace.
