Regulated Qualifications

PAA\VQ-SET offer vocational qualifications throughout the UK; in England, Wales and Northern Ireland PAA\VQ-SET offer competence-based and knowledge-based qualifications which have been accredited within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). These qualifications are nationally recognised qualifications and regulated by the Regulatory Authorities for England, Wales and Northern Ireland; the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), the Welsh Government and CCEA.

In Scotland PAA\VQ-SET offer Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) which are accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and fit within the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF). SVQs are competence-based qualifications developed by industry experts and based on UK approved National Occupational Standards; they reflect the skills and knowledge needed to work effectively.

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs)

NVQs are work-related, competence-based qualifications developed by industry experts and based on UK approved National Occupational Standards. These standards are statements of performance that describe what competent people in a particular occupation are expected to be able to do and know.
