Last certification date for Level 1 and 2 CPPO SVQs - 31st March 2012

The last certification date for the following qualifications will be 31st March 2012:

• Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Petro-Chemical Operations, Level 1 (G7AH 21)

• Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Petro-Chemical Operations, Level 2 Control Operations Process (G7AJ 22)

• Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Petro-Chemical Operations, Level 2 Process Operations (G7AK 22)

• Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Petro-Chemical Operations, Level 2 Process Support Services (G7AL 22)

Please note that this applies to the expired qualifications with the above reference numbers only. 

Last certification date for Level 1 NVQs - 31st March 2012

The last certification date for the following qualifications will be 31st March 2012:

• Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (LATA), Level 1 (100/4523/5)

• Performing Manufacturing Operations (PMO), Level 1 (100/3950/8)

• Polymer Processing and Related Operations, Level 1 (100/5046/2)

• Warehousing and Storage, Level 1 (500/5000/X)

Signmaking SVQs extended until 31st December 2012

The last registration date for the following qualifications has been extended until 31st December 2012:

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 SVQ in Signmaking - G822 22

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 3 SVQ in Signmaking - G821 23

The last certification dates for these qualifications will be 31st December 2014 for the Level 2 and 31st December 2016 for the Level 3.

New QCF Qualifications for the Building Products and Concrete Industries

The following new QCF qualifications are now available:

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Certificate in Precast and Prestressed Concrete Unit Manufacture (QCF) - 600/4120/1

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Diploma in Stockyard Operations for the Precast and Prestressed Concrete Industries (QCF) - 600/4263/1

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Diploma in Stockyard Operations for the Building Products Industry (QCF) - 600/4097/X

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Diploma in Multi-Station Production Operations for the Building Products Industry (QCF) - 600/4114/6

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Award in Principles of Precast Concrete Operations (QCF) - 600/2406/9

These qualifications all sit within Proskills SSC’s Building Products Industry Occupations Apprenticeship Frameworks – Frameworks reference - FR00956 (England), FR00955 (Wales).

New Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities SVQs accredited

PAA\VQ-SET have recently received confirmation of accreditation of the following new qualifications from SQA:

• SVQ 2 in Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities (Education Science) at SCQF Level 6 – GE4D 22

• SVQ 2 in Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities (Industrial Science) at SCQF Level 6 – GE4F 22

• SVQ 3 in Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities (Education Science) at SCQF Level 7 – GE4E 23

• SVQ 3 in Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities (Industrial Science) at SCQF Level 7 – GE4G 23

These qualifications are the replacements for the Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities SVQs which will expire on 31^st December 2011. The Structure for these new Qualifications (in PDF file format) can be opened and downloaded by clicking here.

Existing centres can upgrade to these qualifications at a reduced cost of £80 (plus VAT) until the end of March; the appropriate forms and guidance can be obtained by clicking here.

Last certification date for Level 1 NVQs - 31st December 2011

The last certification date for the following qualifications will be 31st December 2011:

• Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Petro-Chemical Operations, Level 1 (100/3453/5)
• Packaging Operators, Level 1 (100/5888/6)
• Processing Operations: Hydrocarbons, Level 1 (100/4871/6)

Last registration date for LATA SVQs - 31st December 2011

The last registration date for the following SVQs will be 31^st December 2011:

• Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities, Level 2 Educational (G7LL 22)

• Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities, Level 2 Industrial (G7LH 22)

• Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities, Level 3 Educational (G7LG 23)

• Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities, Level 3 Industrial (G7LJ 23)

The last certification dates will be 31^st December 2013 for the Level 2 SVQ and 31^st December 2015 for the Level 3 SVQ.

Last registration date for Polymer Processing SVQs - 31st December 2011

The last registration date for the following qualifications will be 31st December 2011: 

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 1 SVQ in Polymer Processing and Related Operations - G824 21

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 SVQ in Polymer Processing and Related Operations - G823 22

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 3 SVQ in Polymer Processing and Related Operations - G825 23

Following this candidates will have 2 years to complete and be certificated for the Level 1 and 2 SVQs; and 4 years to complete and be certificated for the Level 3 SVQ. 

These qualifications will not be replaced by SVQs; however, the following QCF qualifications are already available:  

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 1 Certificate in Polymer Operations (QCF) - 501/1242/9

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Certificate in Polymer/Polymer Composite Operations (QCF) - 501/1163/2

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 3 Diploma in Polymer/Polymer Composite Operations (QCF) – 501/1173/5

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Certificate in Polymer Related Operations (QCF) - 600/2122/6

The last registration date for the following qualifications will be 31st December 2011:

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 SVQ in Signmaking - G822 22

Following this candidates will have 2 years to complete and be certificated for the Level 2 SVQ; and 4 years to complete and be certificated for the Level 3 SVQ. 

These qualifications will not be replaced by SVQs; however, the following QCF qualifications are already available:

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Signmaking (QCF) - 600/0080/6

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Signmaking (QCF) – 600/0081/8

New Level 2 QCF Award available for Laundry Operations

The following new QCF qualification is now available:

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Award in Laundry Operations (QCF) - 600/3734/9

This qualification is a new qualification developed from the Laundry and Dry Cleaning suite of National Occupational Standards (NOS); further information about the content of this qualification is given in the QCF section of this website.

New Qualifications available for the Water Treatment Industry at Levels 2 & 3

The following new QCF qualifications, developed by PAA\VQ-SET working with Cogent SSC and industry experts from the Water Treatment Industry, are now available:

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Certificate in Water Treatment (QCF) - 600/3218/2

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 2 Diploma in Water Treatment (QCF) - 600/3217/0

• PAA\VQ-SET Level 3 Certificate in Water Treatment (QCF) - 600/3233/9
