PAA\VQ-SET are delighted to announce that the acquisition of Skills Assurance Services Limited (SASL) Awarding Body from Cogent, the Sector Skills Council for Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petroleum & Polymers, was finalised on 4th July 2008.

SASL was the Awarding Body for the Polymers Sector and also Signmaking. This acquisition complements PAA\VQ-SET’s existing operations and will give our approved centres access to, among others, the following new qualifications: 

• Polymer Processing and Related Operations, Levels 1 – 3 NVQs
• Signmaking, Levels 2 & 3 NVQs
• Certificate in Signmaking, Level 3 VRQ

Further information on these new qualifications will be available shortly in the relevant qualification section of this website. It will also give SASL centres access to PAA\VQ-SET's qualification portfolio.
